Forest

He lowered himself on top of me,

his chest mashed against mine,

our heartbeats thundering

in unison,

and I remained still, so as

not to revive him, my fingers

tangled in a forest of

black hair,

and he lifted his head

to survey me,

remember this,

nakedness,

body and soul.
